Meet Bill

Bill Chuan has been a Milpitas resident since 2008. His commitment to serving began in childhood as a Boy Scout, where he engaged with special needs children and also as a Boys State delegate. These early experiences left a lasting impact. After high school, Bill joined the US Army as an armor crewman and drove tanks. His time in the military further deepened his sense of duty and contribution the country as well as community. He extends these experiences to the community because he is dedicated to making a positive impact on those around him. Bill is married to his wife Kelly Yip-Chuan for 25 years and they have 3 teenage daughters. All his children attended/have attended school within the Milpitas Unified School District. With the eldest daughter about to head off to college, Bill is ready and committed to serving as a Milpitas Councilmember.
